(This exam will take place online from your home)

Please read the guide below for more information on this exam process before your exam.

On the day of your exam:

The proctor will send you the required links prior to the exam, there are been very few issues with sending the links. So please do not panic it will happen. 

Zoom:

  • All Certiport Participants are required to join a Zoom meeting 30 minutes before the exam is due to start. This link will be sent via email to you. (Please check Spam)
  • The required I.Ds must be government-issued e.g. Driver Licence, Passport or Public service Card (PSC)
  • Your testing area must be a separate room from other friends or family members or in a partitioned-off space in a shared room if a separate room is not available.
  • You are required to show the Proctor your surroundings via zoom.
  • Participants may not leave the room during the examination.
  • No books, or any media, electronic or otherwise, can be used during the test
  • Participants are forbidden to use mobile phones, cameras and video recording equipment during the test, other than the webcam used to show their surroundings & I.D
  • If it is the case you do not have a webcam you may use your smartphone/tablet to access the zoom link
  • Zoom will need to be active and we will need to see your surroundings as you complete the exam.

Virtual Exam environment:

  • You will be sent a link for the exam virtual environment (30 minutes prior to the exam), this will only be active at the exam start time.
  • This link will redirect you to the exam environment.
  • The exam slot is for one hour, but please allow at least 30 minutes before and after your exam slot time, just in case there are any software or connectivity issues.
  • Please be sure to log in to www.certiport.com prior to starting your exam to make any necessary changes to your username or password. Please make sure there are no special characters in your password, as the Keyboard used on the virtual machines is U.S. configured, so this may cause issues when you try and type using the provided password.

Virtual Exam environment 2

  • You will be asked to copy a unique code when you enter the exam environment.
  • You will be asked to download a small applet (secure browser) and install this. The file will be placed into your “Downloads” folder. Run the file and follow the on-screen prompts.
  • When completed it will return you to the next step in the exam launch flow.
  • Once installed the secure browser applet will run, this locks down your device so you cannot move from the exam screen when in the exam. It is a safe download.
  • On the “Enter your access code” screen, paste or manually enter the code from the previous screen
  • You will now enter the “Lobby”. As the Exam Administrator (Proctor) prepares to unlock the session, the following waiting screen will appear. The “Proctor Chat” tab to communicate with the Exam Administrator (Proctor) and the “Close Exam Session” button will also become available at this point.

On exam completion

  • Once you end the exam and you can see your result – do not download the PDF to the Virtual Machine.
  • Exit out of the browser.
  • You can access your result at any time in your Certiport account. https://certiport.pearsonvue.com/ > login > Under transcripts you will be able to review, download or print your result.

ACCA CBE Exams (In Centre - Naas)

Dear Participant

Thank you for booking your exam with Cenit College. Please ensure to familiarise yourself with the below information and our Exam Centre Handbook that is available to download here.

Our Examination centre is located beside O’Briens off licence at the Tesco Extra shopping centre in Naas, our entrance is on the outside of the building. We are located further down the building away from the main Tesco entrance.

Your exam scheduled time is when the exam starts, please arrive 30 minutes prior to that to allow enough time to process your registration. Please ensure you have VALID and recognised forms of photo ID’s with you.

Exam Rules, regulations, and safety procedures:

  • Please ensure you wear a face mask to the centre. You are required to wear a face-covering on entry, exam admittance and exit from the building; you can remove it during your exam. 
  • Students sitting an ACCA exam: before you arrive at the centre please ensure you know your ACCA registration number so we can cross-check this, and familiarise yourself with the Information Sheet for CBE students available here.
  • There are two lifts, only one person is allowed in each lift at any one time.   
  • On arrival at the centre, please take the lift to level 1 or stairs and fill out the Coronavirus Declaration Form laid out on the tables in front of the elevators. Please bring the form with and go through the double door to meet your Proctor. 
  • Sanitising Hand Gel is provided, and it is compulsory to use it before entering the lift. Please try not to touch any part of the lift, other than what you have to to get to L1.
  • Please arrive alone. There is no place for any waiting persons in the exam centre. Non-exam candidates will not be allowed to enter the building. 
  • You will be asked to sign a health declaration on arrival, and we will take your temperature. (Forehead/wrist NO-TOUCH infrared thermometer)
  • If you are found to have a temperature, we will have to ask you to leave the building, and we will rearrange another suitable time for you to complete your exam, this is for everyone’s safety.
  • Sanitising Hand Gel is again provided, and it is compulsory to use it before entering the exam admittance area.
  • You may be requested to wait at a designated area before entering the Examination Room.
  • If you need to use the toilet facilities before your exam; please ask our staff for instructions.
  • You will be escorted to the exam centre admittance desk by an authorised exam invigilator. 
  • Exam candidates must present valid Photographic Identification (Passport, Driving license, Photographic DSP Identity Card or Student Identity card). Please hold the document in front of you for inspection as instructed by the invigilator. We will not touch the identification, so please ensure all details are visible. Candidates who do not present their identification will be denied entry to the examination room.
  • A locker will be also provided for your belongings e.g. Bags, Coats/Jackets, Mobile Phones etc. You cannot take any of these items into the exam room. You must not take any items into the exam room other than yourself. It would constitute a breach of exam regulations.
  • Once you have been admitted for your exam, and have placed your personal items in a locker, and you will then be asked to move towards the hallway and stand on the markers provided until we have admitted all candidates, once on this marker you will not be allowed to return to the main lobby of the building. 
  • In the interest of health and safety guidelines, there will be a maximum of eight candidates permitted into the exam room for the duration of the examination, we have moved our exam testing room to a sizeable well-ventilated classroom, the candidates will be assigned to test areas at opposite ends of the training room at distances of two metres for social-distancing purposes, 
  • Once the invigilator has admitted all candidates; they will then move to the testing room and admit the candidates to the room one at a time. 
  • The seating throughout the Exam Centre has been reduced. Please do not touch or move any of the chairs or furniture in the exam Centre apart from your exam workspace.
  • You may use your assigned Computer once instructed by the invigilator. If you are experiencing login difficulties or technical issues, please raise your hand so the invigilator can see you. 
  • Your Exam Invigilator will outline clear instructions before the commencement of the exam. Any other questions which the candidate may have in relation to the examination must be asked before the examination commences at the admittance pod.
  • All computer-based examinations are operated on a timed system and all instructions relating to a specific exam is made available online before the candidate commences their exam. Cenit College has no control over the testing systems or specific examination instructions. Examinations are operated by and are under the control of particular vendors such as ICS, Certiport, ACCA, Pearson VUE, etc.…
  • Any Incidents must be reported to the Cenit College exam invigilator or Cenit College Centre Manager.

  • Anatomy & Physiology Exam (10 am)
  • Medical Terminology – Skills Demo 1 and 2 (1 pm)
  • Audio Transcription – EX1, EX2, EX3 (3.30pm)

Location: (This exam will take place in Athlone) – Location: 9b Inis Carraig, Golden Island, Ankers Bower, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. (O’briens off – licence is below)

Parking: We would recommend parking in Golden Island shopping centre and walking across the road, there is free car parking there.

Covid 19: Please click here to complete the training form. This needs to be completed on the day of your assessment before you arrive at the centre. Please fill it out and have it with you on the day

  • For learners doing the Audio Transcription assessment,  please bring your own headset/earphones.
  • Please inform us prior to your assessment if you have covid symptoms and all learners must wear a face mask for the duration of the assessments. If you have an exemption from using a face mask please contact us prior to the day of the exam.
